VANGARDIST: Hi Adrian! First up, where does the name 'Adrian Long' come from?
Adrian Long: Well, at first, when I started into porn, I didn't really know if it was supposed to work or not, so I didn't know which name to pick... The owner of the first company I worked for, told me the first time he saw me, that I was looking exactly like his boyfriend, named Adrian, which is actually my real second first name. What a sign! And we decided to pick Long in reference to a specific part of my anatomy...

VA: Did you make the decision to become a porn star or did it just happen?
Adrian: I would say it was a little bit of both! I never thought I would have what it takes to be a pornstar at first, but I was curious about it, and my boyfriend Brandon Jones was seriously getting into it. So, one day, I sent a bunch of self taken pictures of myself to the biggest american companies that I knew at that time. And they all answered me back. So I jumped in and realized that it was a great experience!

VA: I can imagine your mom and dad struggling with her son being a porn star. Is that right or is your family cool with it?
Adrian: I think it is normal that the people have at first, some struggling or issues with porn. They don't know about it pretty well and this is for them all about what they heard or red before. But my relatives, siblings and friends know me well and they know that I'm intelligent about my choice and that I am always careful about my choices. They understand what I am doing. They can see the good side, all the great opportunities and the incredible visibility it gives me. And they know that I am smart enough to take advantage from all this and use it to trow myself on higher levels for the future.
I would not stay any longer in friendship with people who would really judge badly or being negative about all that. I do not need bad energy. Life is too short to worry about people who don't like you for who you really are. I don't wanna loose time being someone else to please people.

VA: Would there have been other career options for you as well?
Adrian: Well so far, I'm into modeling for many years and still doing it. I had the chance to work as a casting agent, a marketing advisor, an image consultant for fashion campaigns, concierge in a five stars hotel, personal trainer, actor, event coordinator, runway model, etc...

VA: What do you like and dislike most about being a porn star?
Adrian: I do love all my fans, meet them, talk to them. I enjoy traveling all around the world with my boyfriend to promote ourselves. I have the chance to work for Lucas Entertainment and they are like a big family to me. So on set, it is professional and friendly. I made very good friends in that industry!
I only have some struggling to deal with is the haters, people who always bring you down for no reason, only because they don't like you or only by pure jealousy. I learned a lot from it. You can not please everyone and when your face is getting public, anything can happen...

VA: Which movies would you recommend to our readers?
Adrian: Which is your favorite scene?I would suggest my last one Position to fill from Lucas Entertainment. A great movie, shot in Montreal. I have two hot scenes in that flick. You should watch it!

VA: Your boyfriend Brandon Jones is also working in the porn business. How do you stand watching him having sex with other men?
Adrian: Pretty well! This is all about work and we can make the difference between work and play.

VA: Did you get to know each other on set?
Adrian: We met each other way before getting into porn. We actually met because we had a Facebook friend in common and we posted a comment on the same picture. This is how it started!

VA: What is the difference to have sex with him in privacy?
Adrian: Well this is all about the connection, the true feelings and the life we are sharing together every day for two years. All these makes the difference between something simply physical, calculated, simulated and something, true, honest and passionate.

VA: Do you sometimes have to have sex with people that you don't like?
Adrian: Sometimes, on set, the connection is harder to get with your scene partner, it happens. But you have to make it work anyway. I have to tell that Lucas lets me give my word on who I m shooting with, which is wonderful!

VA: Did you ever have sex with a woman?
Adrian: Yes of course!! I even dated girls for a while. I still have some fantasies about hot girls sometimes...

VA: How is it growing up in a small city as Alma when being gay?
Adrian: Alma is a lovely, wonderful city where the people are warm and nice. But it has been for me a tough way honestly... Being different as a child, a teenager is always something you have to learn to deal with because the people around are sometimes judging what they don't know or don't understand... My story is about the same as many people who had to make their way trough life getting bullied, laughed at and rejected. But I had the chance to have a wonderful loving family who have been blessed to have around. I think in a way, this part of my life left some scares on me, like anyone else, but you must take advantage from it. This is an important step when you are growing up. It made me the man I am now, and I learned a lot on how to deal with your feelings, dreams, goals, and how to reach them even if your environment is trying to bring you down. I would say it made me stronger to face the reality as an adult.

VA: Do you vote?
Adrian: Yes I do! And this is imperative to vote right now in Canada. They recently found out corruption using public money. A lot of protestation against the actual government, new political parties are emerging, we are worried about the international economic crisis, the environment and the conservative way to think of a lot of canadian citizens is pulling back some human rights on the table. So, in this contextual situation, this is a really important to vote.

VA: Homosexual teens are five times more at risk to commit suicide. Is there a personal message you'd like to tell them?
Adrian: Well, never think you are alone! Even if you feel that way, there is always someone to talk about it with... Because this is such a release to speak out, accept who you are and embrace it! Life is such a wonderful journey and everyone deserve to fully enjoy it! We do not choose to be gay, we choose to live it or not, the way we want it. And believe me, I know what I m talking about. If someone is thinking about doing such a radical thing as committing suicide, please at least, open your heart to someone that you can trust! Don't live this alone!

VA: Last but not least: Do you want to have kids some day?
Adrian: Yes I do! I LOVE KIDS!!!!
